Thenkuzhal is often made during auspicious occasions and often made in temples as prasadam to gods. This crispy, light, flavorful snack can be made in both sweet and savory versions. Every house has its own Thenkuzhal recipe, but it is traditionally made with rice flour, urad flour, small quantities of butter, cumin seeds, asafoetida and often fried in oil/ghee. Rice flour can be replaced with millets for the healthier version of this snack.
